Thesis & Dissertation Bootcamp

December 16 - 20, 2019

The Thesis and Dissertation Boot Camp is a 5-day workshop that will provide students with the opportunity for uninterrupted writing time in distraction free spaces while receiving expert advice from experienced faculty mentors from Delaware State University.

The major purpose of the Thesis and Dissertation Boot Camp is to develop new habits that are formed by repeated practice. Each day students will focus on a specific chapter of their thesis. There will be focus sessions on the topics that tend to “trip up” students, such as, but not limited to:

  • Congruence of Problem Statement, Purpose, Research Questions, And Conceptual or Theoretical Frameworks
  • Building a Dissertation Road Map and Agenda
  • Contents of Each Chapter of the Dissertation
  • Motivation
  • Managing Distractions
  • Organizing Physical and Virtual Workspaces

This FREE event will be held in the William C. Jason Library, Suite 613, and led by DSU professors. Only students who are serious should apply for this opportunity. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and the enrollment will be limited. Continental breakfast, snacks and beverages will be provided each day.
