Graduate Admissions Requirements
To be considered for admission, applicants must:

Bachelor’s Degree | From an accredited college/university with a minimum 2.50 GPA (3.0 in major preferred) |
Official Transcripts | From all institutions attended; International: WES, ECE, or GCE evaluation required |
*Field Preparation * | Prior coursework in the intended graduate discipline |
Letters of Recommendation | From individuals familiar with your academic or professional qualifications |
Program-Specific Requirements | Check with your program for additional documents or prerequisites |
*Standardized Tests* | GRE, GMAT, MAT, or other as required by program; Code 5153 for DSU electronic submission |
Proficiency Requirements | Students scoring below the 50th percentile in GRE Verbal/Writing may be asked to demonstrate additional proficiency |
International Graduate Applicants
In addition to the general requirements, international applicants must demonstrate English proficiency and submit evaluated academic records.

Satisfy this requirement if you…
Earned a degree from a U.S. college or university |
Earned a degree from a university where English is the primary language of instruction |
Submit TOEFL (550 PBT / 79 iBT) or IELTS (6.5 minimum) |
Complete DSU’s English Language Institute (ELI) and receive a certificate |

Transcript Evaluations
International applicants must provide a course-by-course transcript evaluation through WES, ECE, or GCE at least 60 days before enrollment, verifying:
- U.S. degree equivalency
- U.S. GPA equivalent
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree
